12:02 am - FRONT 242 releases FREE 2-track download

Ahead of their time back in the early 80's, the Belgian cult electronic act FRONT 242 now makes an ultimate statement towards abusive audio compression by releasing the free 2-track download, "First moment", in 5 various audio sound quality formats:

1. Mp3 - 192Kbps (medium quality)
2. Mp3 - 320Kbps (good quality)
3. Wave - 16bits/44Khz files
4. Free Lossless Audio Codec (Flac) - for PC
5. M4A Apple Lossless - for Mac

It's up to the listener to hear the difference between the various audio sound formats and thus hear for him/herself what good quality audio sounds like. To get hold of this free 2-track download, which will hit the online world on June 15th, you need to register here : http://www.alfa-matrix.com/shop_comments.php?id=1524_0_8_0_C ! Pre-registering is needed in order to get hold of the free download.

Happy hunting... !

long story short: AS220 can't give peter lee all the time he needs, so ten acts have to get cut.
there is now a list of bands who people can vote to see.. but you can only pick two.
nau-zee-aun and are both on the list.
however, there is a problem. acts such as terrorfakt, scrape.dx, pneumatic detach, edgey, etc. are also on the list.. they're all big names - but also amazing acts.

this portion is taken from deftly d's journal, as he said it best:

Reasons to vote for Nau-Zee-auN

1] Nau-Zee-auN has never been booked in advance for a single Providence Industrial Fest. Although performing once as a last minute replacement for bands that had cancelled years ago this would be the first time Nau-Zee-auN would ever be scheduled in advance to perform.
2] I have assisted and attended the festival since the first Providence Noise Festival.
3] I have had 3 festivals that I was booked for drop Nau-Zee-auN due to similar reasons after having previously confirmed my booking.
4] To my knowledge Nau-Zee-auN is the only industrial act on this list that uses powertools, sledgehammers, scrap metal and has shown up to the Providence Industrial Fest wearing a towel and boots.
5] This may be your only chance to see Nau-Zee-auN live for the rest of the year.

Reasons to vote for The Vomit Arsonist

1] One of the only and best acts on the list who has never played at Providence Industrial fest.
2] One of the only acts on the entire weekend who delivers quality strait up noise.
3] One of the only acts on this list who's from Providence.

bear in mind, i'm not bagging on the other acts that people can choose from, but they've all been playing the fest since it's first inception five years ago (for the most part) ... expose yourselves to new music, and vote for us.

4:40 am - Double Post ...

B. Szymecki:
DBH (or Death's Black Hand) came about quickly in July when I decide to test some new effects and make some noise. Overall the style didn't fit the concept of Dead Eyes Burn so a new project was made. A bunch of layers were made, some noisy and some more dronish and were then collaged together (as per usual), and then cut up into it's seperate movements. Noise and Murder ... Bitch.

8:30 pm - trauma 007 released ... Rosencrantz & Guildenstern ...

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern- st [trauma007] [2005]

Essentially this is a year of work. An online collaboration between A. Grant (The Vomit Arsonist; Tragedie Ann; etc.) and B. Szymecki (Dead Eyes Burn; Covet The Sick; etc.) that crosses through the genres of dark ambient, noise, drone, and experimental soundscapes. Each artists knack for sound can certainly be heard, mixed together inside these long tracks.

Obviously the name for the project came from Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and although you may not see the connection between poetic text and this menagrie of sound ... don't worry. Rosencrantz & Guildenstern were twisted people ... so are we.

Includes full 300 dpi artwork for your printing and burning pleasure.

8:27 pm - Dead Eyes Burn- Pariah of The Black Gates [trauma003] [2005]

Dead Eyes Burn started in May of 2003, out of frustration and anger. Not in the mood to make something too structured or even "music" persee; just wanting to make something horrendous and vicious to those who heard it, I started sculpting feedbacks and various loops together. Layering them into each other and adding on top, drones and other noises created through a guitar with plenty of effects, each track took it's own shape. Of course it only made 2 tracks, but each was quite lengthy, and that completed the first demo, "Pariah By Choice". "Pariah..." was only available for a brief time online before I took it down to conserve ftp space. I recorded again in August 2003, this time with the guitar as the main sound source, sometimes the only. This time it was less structured and more freeform, a little harsher, and to me with a much better production. This time, 3 lengthy tracks which overlap to make one large, lengthy track, made up the second demo, "Beyond The Black Gates" which was available for an even shorter amount of time online (without even art), before it was removed. Enter the year 2005 ... the double demo release, "Pariah of The Black Gates" which includes both 2003 demos, "Pariah By Choice" and "Beyond The Black Gates" together. Featuring full artwork by EXE Designs, based up on the concept of a tribute to the artwork stylings of Swans.

"Pariah By Choice"
Demo 1 - May 2003
1. Fetal Decay (11:48)
2. Anal-A-Go-Go (14:44)

"Beyond The Black Gates"
Demo 2 - August 2003
3. Mansonic Views On Humanity (14:29)
4. Her Eyes Loved Staples (18:40)
5. Torture Schematics (9:37)

Total Running Time: 1:09:18

All songs written, performed, recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Dead Eyes Burn
Art and layout design by EXE Designs, with initial concept by Dead Eyes Burn.
All material contained on this release is © 2003 Traumatic Creations & Dead Eyes Burn.
